Content Acquisition Intern

Tribe Nation Studios Limited, a reputable content production and distribution company based in Lagos, Nigeria, is looking to hire a Content Acquisition Intern to join our team and perform a variety of duties such as identifying new content opportunities, conducting research on potential content, providing support in the negotiation and execution of content licensing agreements, and performing administrative duties.

Our ideal candidate must have at least one year of proven experience in content acquisition roles and should have proficient knowledge of Google Workspace. You must have strong communication skills and a positive track record of exceeding outlined goals. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Managing the content acquisition process, including identifying content partners, setting up appointments, tracking content sources, reviewing content, organizing files, and ensuring that all necessary rights and permissions are secured;

• Assisting in managing relationships with existing content partners, ensuring timely delivery of content and resolving any issues that may arise;

• Working closely with the content providers to ensure that the content aligns with the company’s guidelines;

• Ensuring that newly acquired content meets technical requirements, including video quality and creative assets;

• Assisting in maintaining a comprehensive database of all acquisitions.

• Assisting in planning towards and attending industry events and conferences on behalf of the company.

• Conducting market analysis, research on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands, and contributing to strategic decision-making processes.

• Performing other duties as requested by your manager in a proficient manner that adheres to the quality expected from the company.

  
  

RECRUITMENT CRITERIA: 

Our ideal candidate is expected to meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s Degree/Higher National Diploma in Theater Arts, Business Administration, Mass Communication, or any related Social Sciences field;

• Minimum of 1 year of working experience in Content Acquisition or similar roles;

• Professional qualifications, certifications, and memberships in the film industry are an added advantage;

• Must reside in Lagos;

• Must have completed NYSC;

• Must not be less than 21 years of age. 

  
  

SKILLS:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a results-driven attitude;

• Excellent verbal and communication skills;

• Proven problem-solving skills;

• Familiarity with contract negotiation and licensing agreements is a plus;

• Organized, capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects at once;

• Excellent time management skills;

• Proficiency in the use of Google Workspace. 

• Ability to work with minimal or zero supervision.
